Time for cameras in the cockpit and cabin?

I think its time we installed cameras in the cabin and cockpit of passenger planes. Too much craziness seems to happen when you’re 30 thousand feet in the air. It would be a great way to record actual events as they unfold. No more speculation per se.

Good or bad idea?
Just so we can see if people are sleeping in the cockpit or what went on during a hijacking.

 

Are laptops and cameras allowed on flights to the US from New Zealand?

Why don’t they mount cameras on commercial aircraft so the pilots can see the engines?

You always see when a plane has engine trouble or something bad happens they have no idea if the engine is even still attached to the plane. Wouldn’t it make sense to first before anything else is done to make sure the engine is still attatched. You would think there would be multiple cameras on the outside of the plane so the pilots can better fix a problem..
