I recently broke my Canon Ixus 800 IS digital camera and the quote I received to fix it was not worth following up. I am now left with a partially functional camera and it seems wasteful to simply throw it away. I have heard of people on the net buying broken ipods and using them for parts and am curious as to whether there is a similar market for digital cameras.
